Does This True Car Accident Story Sound Familiar?
     On a busy Friday afternoon, John was driving home from work when the freeway traffic suddenly stopped, and John successfully and safely stopped. However, the large SUV behind him, driven by a distracted young female, did not successfully stop, and slammed into the rear of John’s truck. The noise was deafening. The impact was great enough to propel John’s vehicle into the vehicle in front of him. John was wearing a shoulder-lap type of seat belt. Although the front of his truck sustained substantial damage from slamming into the vehicle in front of him, his air bag did not deploy.
